Week of 9/22-9/26 and Lesson 5 Printout Dear parents and guardians, This week we wrapped up Week 4 with something extra special. A Teacher's Day celebration! The kids spent time working on the good copies of their writing pieces, all about their amazing English teacher and it was so heartwarming to read the kind and thoughtful words they put down on paper.   On top of that, everyone got creative sketching portraits of their teachers, some serious, some funny, all full of love! One of the highlights was definitely when brave little “teachers” stepped into my shoes for a day. Watching them lead the class with so much excitement (and a little bit of authority!) was such a treat. Moments like these remind me just how lucky I am to be in this role, surrounded by so much joy, kindness and curiosity every single day. As we head into Week 5, I'm excited to carry all this positive energy forward.    Week of 9/15-9/19 and Lesson 4 Printout Dear parents and guardians, We were so happy to see you all during our Open House! Thank you so much for coming! We truly appreciate your support, and we hope you’ll continue to be with us on this learning journey. This week, we began training the kids to write paragraphs. To strengthen their skills, we’ve also given paragraph writing as homework so they can practice more at home. In Math, we’re a little behind schedule, but we are already halfway through the lesson. As soon as the kids fully understand the concept, we’ll move on to the lesson planned for next week. Thank you for your patience and encouragement. We’re excited to see the kids continue to grow and learn! Below are the printouts for Lesson 4. -Ms. Gugu Lesson 4 - 202A Lesson 4 - 203R

Week of 9/8-9/12 and Lesson 3 Printout Dear parents and guardians, We’ve wrapped up our second week of school and we couldn’t be prouder of our 2nd graders! Adjusting to a new grade can feel like a big step, but our students are showing such determination and heart as they settle into new routines, lessons and expectations. This week, we talked a lot about trying our best, not being perfect, but giving our full effort. We are seeing students rise to the challenge: following directions more quickly, staying focused longer and showing kindness to one another. These are all part of what it means to grow as a learner and as a class family. In Math, we reviewed last week’s lesson and we are so happy to see the children really getting the concepts. Their confidence is building and it shows in the way they participate and solve problems together. Thank you for continuing to encourage your child at home. It makes such a difference! We’re looking forward to all the growth, learning and fun that...

Dear parents and guardians, We had a short but productive week! This week, all the children learned how to use both their communication books and homework notebooks. They did a great job getting started with this important routine. It's completely normal for some students to feel a little overwhelmed as they adjust to new classroom processes. With time, support from both teachers and parents, and a bit of consistent practice, they'll soon feel more confident and comfortable. I encourage them to take a few moments over the weekend to review and practice what they've learned in class. Thank you for a wonderful week. I’m truly happy to be your child’s English teacher this year and I look forward to all the learning and growth ahead. Enjoy the weekend!
