 Week of 5/27-31 and Lesson 30 Printout 


Dear parents and guardians,


This week, we successfully completed all our planned lessons, creating a productive and engaging experience for everyone involved! Our focus was on ensuring that the kids not only read the stories but truly understood them. To achieve this, we introduced a fun and interactive way of answering questions about the stories.


Using a "spinning roulette," with each child's name on it, we randomly selected a student who would come to the front of the class to answer questions. This method added an element of excitement and unpredictability, making the learning process enjoyable and inclusive. Each student eagerly awaited their turn, knowing they might be next.


This approach not only helped reinforce their comprehension skills but also boosted their confidence in speaking and presenting in front of their peers. We're proud of the progress the kids have made and look forward to more interactive learning sessions in the future!

Mid Term Exam Test Scope Here's what you should remind your child about for the exam: 1) Write neatly. If I can't read their writing or understand what it is, they'll lose points. 2) Read and follow all the instructions carefully. Points will be taken off if they don't follow the directions. 3) Read all the questions carefully and check their answers. Dear parents and guardians, We had a short but productive week! This week, all the children learned how to use both their communication books and homework notebooks. They did a great job getting started with this important routine. It's completely normal for some students to feel a little overwhelmed as they adjust to new classroom processes. With time, support from both teachers and parents, and a bit of consistent practice, they'll soon feel more confident and comfortable. I encourage them to take a few moments over the weekend to review and practice what they've learned in class. Thank you for a wonderful week. Week of 9/8-9/12 and Lesson 3 Printout Dear parents and guardians, We’ve wrapped up our second week of school and we couldn’t be prouder of our 2nd graders! Adjusting to a new grade can feel like a big step, but our students are showing such determination and heart as they settle into new routines, lessons and expectations. This week, we talked a lot about trying our best, not being perfect, but giving our full effort. We are seeing students rise to the challenge: following directions more quickly, staying focused longer and showing kindness to one another. These are all part of what it means to grow as a learner and as a class family. In Math, we reviewed last week’s lesson and we are so happy to see the children really getting the concepts.
