Dear parents and guardians,


This week, we paused our usual writing activities to give students more time to focus on math. There was no writing homework and instead, students were encouraged to:

✅ Complete corrections in their math books.

✅ Review the lessons we worked on in class.

✅ Begin preparing for the upcoming Final Test.


Our main focus areas included:

➗ Fractions – learning how to identify and name parts of a whole

🕒 Telling Time – practicing how to read analog clocks

📊 Graphs – understanding and creating simple bar and picture graphs

Mid Term Exam Test Scope Here's what you should remind your child about for the exam: 1) Write neatly. If I can't read their writing or understand what it is, they'll lose points. 2) Read and follow all the instructions carefully. Dear parents and guardians, We had a short but productive week! This week, all the children learned how to use both their communication books and homework notebooks. They did a great job getting started with this important routine. It's completely normal for some students to feel a little overwhelmed as they adjust to new classroom processes. With time, support from both teachers and parents, and a bit of consistent practice, they'll soon feel more confident and comfortable. I encourage them to take a few moments over the weekend to review and practice what they've learned in class. Thank you for a wonderful week. I’m truly happy to be your child’s English teacher this year and I look forward to all the learning and growth ahead. Enjoy the weekend! Week of 9/8-9/12 and Lesson 3 Printout Dear parents and guardians, We’ve wrapped up our second week of school and we couldn’t be prouder of our 2nd graders! Adjusting to a new grade can feel like a big step, but our students are showing such determination and heart as they settle into new routines, lessons and expectations. This week, we talked a lot about trying our best, not being perfect, but giving our full effort. We are seeing students rise to the challenge: following directions more quickly, staying focused longer and showing kindness to one another. These are all part of what it means to grow as a learner and as a class family. In Math, we reviewed last week’s lesson and we are so happy to see the children really getting the concepts. Their confidence is building and it shows in the way they participate and solve problems together. Thank you for continuing to encourage your child at home. It makes such a difference!
